The first build of a site is free for the first sites your plan includes (5 on the free trial with a card on file); after that a first build spends Genaya AI credits like any rebuild.

How to start from a ready-made template

On Marketing -> Websites, the Templates tab next to Recent websites shows the ready-made templates (its Browse all opens the full Templates gallery), and the phone's Websites list carries its own Templates entry: pick a ready-made template - a website built for clinics, advisors and accountants, software and design agencies, field-service trades and contractors, or a working app such as a task board, a finance overview or a client portal - type a name, and Genaya creates it at once with its pages, look and pictures (or its screens and tables) already in place. Any plan can use a ready-made template, including the trial; no build runs and no Genaya AI credits are spent.

Tell Genaya AI what to change - "add an FAQ about pricing", "make the hero warmer", "put the booking button first". A draft edit can run on its own; an edit to a live page shows a before-and-after card and asks. Every edit has a 15-minute Undo.

How to click to edit a page

Accepted Answer

Open the site, press Edit in the top bar, and the page becomes editable in place: hover a section for its outline and label, click it for a floating toolbar keyed to what you picked, double-click a headline, a paragraph or almost any label to type it, and Section data opens a small floating window when a type still has fields with no element on the page. Every change on the page saves as you go - Undo and Redo are the safety net - and nothing reaches visitors until you press Publish.

A page is a stack of sections from one library of 28 types: a hero over a photo or a gradient, why-us reasons with an icon each, services, numbered how-it-works steps, a trust band with live counters and your badges, reviews as designed cards, an FAQ, pricing, a calculator, a gallery, the team, hours and contact, a service area map, a lead form, a booking section, call or text, Live Chat, a deposit button, a closing banner, an embed, the footer, the sign-in, record form and records blocks of a site with its own database, and the store, cart and checkout of a site that sells. Every section is one of these types with the fields that type has, and every icon comes from one set of 40 glyphs.

The brief you type is the only thing Genaya builds from: the name, the pages, the words, the look and the pictures all come from it. Your Genaya records - services, forms, booking page, reviews, hours, number - are wired in only when the brief is about your own business ("my shop", "our practice", "with my services", "with online booking"). Describe a cafe on a plumbing account and you get a cafe site; you can hold several sites and apps, each from its own brief.

Describe the app instead of a site - "build me a todo dashboard", "an inventory tracker", "a CRM for my leads", "a client portal where people submit requests", "an admin panel for the crew" - and Genaya AI builds a real application: a sidebar and top bar, a Dashboard screen first, one screen per table plus an All records view, and a New record button that opens a form. Visitors sign in with a six-digit code sent by email, no password. Publishing an app with accounts is on the Pro plan and above.

Describe the thing in one sentence - "build me a burger builder game", "a tip calculator", "a quiz that scores my visitors", "a pomodoro timer", "a color palette generator" - and Genaya AI writes a real working program in React, puts it first on a page of its own, plays it once to make sure it answers, and gives you a link to try it. Ask for a website around it and you get the pages too. Ask for a leaderboard, saved results or a tracker and it saves to the website's own data tables. Nothing is a template: the rules, the screen and the controls are written for your idea.

Every site gets -.genaya.site the moment it is created. Press Publish, confirm the card, and the site is live within about a minute. A private draft-preview link exists before that, and the public link can be renamed with a 30-day redirect.

How to connect your own domain

Press Connect domain on the site's address strip, or open Dashboard > Domains, type a domain you already own in the Custom domains card and press Connect domain. Genaya shows the two DNS records to add at your registrar, checks them on its own, issues the secure connection and emails you when the site answers on the domain. Connecting is included on the Pro plan and above (Pro connects up to 2 domains per site and 6 across the organization, Business 5 per site and 50, Enterprise 10 per site); the trial and the Individual plan publish on the genaya.site link, and the Domains card shows "Connecting your own domain is available on the Pro plan and above" with a View plans button. The genaya.site link keeps working.

How to buy a domain in Genaya

Accepted Answer

On Dashboard > Domains of a website (or under Operations > Domains), type a name into Find a domain, pick an available one from the list and press Buy. The sheet shows the price of the first year and the price of every year after, the registrant contact (saved once for your organization), a Renew automatically switch and two agreements; Pay and register charges the card on file, Genaya registers the name to your organization and writes the DNS records, and the site answers on it within minutes. A domain is priced per year at a 50% markup over what the registry charges for that year: most .com names are $19.99 the first year and $29.99 a year after. Privacy and DNS are included, and the domain is charged to your card once a year. Pro plan and above, and the Websites Domains permission. You get a receipt by email the moment the domain is registered, and one separate email asking you to confirm the registrant email address (click its link within 15 days). While domain purchase is not open yet the field reads "Domain purchase is opening soon."

Operations > Domains lists every domain your organization bought in Genaya with the website it answers for, its status, the expiry date, the Renew automatically switch and the transfer lock. Open a row for the sheet: Renew now, the Renew automatically, Transfer lock and Privacy switches, Connect to a website, and the DNS records editor (A, AAAA, CNAME, TXT and MX records with a priority). Records Genaya writes for a connected website stay locked as Managed.

The Appear in Google switch under General on Dashboard > Settings covers the site, and each page has its own Appear in Google (this page) switch in Page settings, the gear next to the page in the top bar's page dropdown. Genaya serves every page as full HTML with LocalBusiness structured data and a sitemap of the pages you let it list, so Google, Bing and AI crawlers can read it - indexing still takes days.

The tiny Report this site link next to it can never be removed - it opens a public abuse form.

Before a site goes live Genaya checks every link, looks for impersonation and regulated claims, checks the business category when checkout is on and takes a screenshot. A flagged site waits for a Genaya reviewer instead of going live.

A lead form on your site is one of your Engage forms rendered as a page section. Every submission lands in Leads, in a table named "<Site> - Website" with a lead source named after the site, and fires the same notifications and automations as any lead.

Dashboard > Analytics is the site's traffic and sales page: a live visitor count (the people on the site in the last five minutes), a Traffic overview and a Sales overview, a date range (Today, the last 7, 30 or 90 days or a custom range), filters by page, country, device and referrer, tiles with the change against the previous period, a visits chart per hour or per day, and breakdown cards for pages, countries, operating systems, referrers, devices, logins and your own custom events. Page views are free; nothing that identifies a visitor is stored. The Individual plan sees the Traffic overview with up to 30 days, no filters and no Events card; the Sales overview, 92 days, the filters and custom events are on the Pro plan and above (the page shows "Full analytics is available on the Pro plan and above" with View plans).
