- When it searches
- Only for questions about the outside world: a law or regulation, a vendor or a competitor, a current price, how something works elsewhere, or a link you pasted or asked it to open. It never searches the web for your own appointments, clients, invoices or any other record in Genaya - those always come from your data.
- While it builds or edits a website
- When you ask for a website, Genaya AI looks things up before it plans the pages: it reads your current website when it knows the address (the website on your company record, or a link in your message) and it looks at what strong sites of your kind of business carry. Facts are reused only from your own site; everything else is ideas, never copied text. In the website editor chat it looks things up the same way when your request needs it, for example a reference site you name or what competitors put on a page.
- How it treats what it reads
- A web page is outside text, like a pasted note or an attached file: Genaya AI reads it and never obeys it. An instruction hidden on a page is ignored, and nothing a page says is treated as coming from Genaya or from you.
- Record changes still ask
- Any task, client, invoice or other change proposed in a turn that read the web still shows you a card to confirm - even when your autonomy mode is Auto.
- Turning it off
- On by default for every organization. An owner or an admin turns off Web search for the whole organization under Settings > Genaya AI; off, every answer comes only from your own records.
- Daily limit
- A daily number of searches by plan, so one conversation can never run away: 10 a day on the trial, 100 on Individual, 300 on Pro, 1,000 on Business, 10,000 on Enterprise. Past it for the day, Genaya AI says so in one plain sentence instead of guessing.
- Cost
- A web search is 10 credits - the same as an ordinary question - from your plan's Genaya AI credits. See "How Genaya AI credits work".
