Genaya works inside ChatGPT. Add it once and ChatGPT can ask Genaya AI about your own business - "how many appointments do I have this week", "find Maria Lopez and her open invoices", "what is my revenue this month" - and answer with your real numbers. Behind the assistant sits the same Genaya AI you use in the app, running as you, with your permissions, in the one organization you chose when you connected.
In ChatGPT open Settings, then Security and login, and turn on Developer mode. Whether it is offered can depend on your account and workspace policy.
Open the plugins page in ChatGPT and choose the plus button. Name it Genaya, add a short description, paste the Genaya address https://api.genaya.com/mcp under Connection and create it. Once the Genaya plugin is listed in the ChatGPT directory you can install it from there instead - the same connection either way.
ChatGPT shows the Genaya account-linking card. Choose Connect your account, sign in to Genaya with your normal login (two-factor and login verification apply), pick the organization you want to work in and tap Allow.
Back in ChatGPT, ask "How many appointments do I have this week?". The first answer proves the connection; from then on just ask.
The consent screen is a Genaya page, not a ChatGPT page. It says that ChatGPT is asking to use Genaya as you in the organization you picked, that it will only see what you can already see, and what the connection may do: read the Genaya data you can already see, ask Genaya AI on your behalf and, when you tick them, prepare changes you confirm and prepare texts and emails you confirm on a Genaya page. Nothing runs on its own: a record change is previewed and confirmed in the chat and can be undone for 15 minutes, and every text, email and anything about money is confirmed on a Genaya page where you are signed in - see "What an assistant can do in Genaya" in this section. The assistant can never move money or change billing, roles, bank or payout settings.
A connection covers one organization - the one you picked on the consent screen. One ChatGPT account holds one Genaya connection per plugin, so if you belong to two organizations you pick one there; to work in the other, disconnect Genaya in ChatGPT and connect again, choosing that organization. Linked organizations (a link between two businesses) are not team memberships and are not offered - only the organizations you are a member of.
Every question you ask through ChatGPT is saved as a Genaya AI chat, like one asked in the app: it opens from Search chats on the web and on the phone, and it carries a small "via ChatGPT" mark next to its title. By default those chats are kept out of the Recent list (the Genaya AI rail, the side-chat history and the phone's chat list) so your own conversations stay on top. To list them too, turn on Show assistant chats in Recent under Settings > Genaya AI (the Chats from assistants card, on the web and on the phone; the small info glyph next to the heading explains it). The switch is yours alone and follows you across devices; it changes only what Recent lists, never what is saved.
Nothing is cheaper or dearer because it came through ChatGPT. A question from ChatGPT is 10 Genaya AI credits, exactly like a question in the app: the same monthly credits per plan, and on the free trial the same 100 credits a day (1,000 for the whole trial) shared with the app chat. There is no separate meter and nothing is charged per lookup: a question or an action through ChatGPT spends the same Genaya AI credits as in the app and nothing else, in the same count under Settings > Billing > Usage. You see the credits used in Settings under usage after each turn.
