Every flow has exactly one trigger. When it happens for a contact who passes the flow's entry filters, that person starts at the first step.
Added to an audience
A contact joins a list, by import, by a form or by hand. Good for a welcome series.
A contact property changes
A property becomes a value, for example plan_bucket becomes pro. Good for onboarding by plan.
A named event
An event you name, like Signed Up, sent to Genaya for a contact.
A Genaya record event
Something that happens to your own records. The list is below.
Record events you can start from
A new client or a new lead
An appointment is created, or its status changes
A booking is made
A form is submitted
An estimate is sent, or its status changes
An invoice is sent or paid
A payment is received
A review is received
A missed call
infoA flow that starts from a record can read that record again later. A split can ask "is the invoice still unpaid?" and it reads the answer fresh when the person reaches that step.
Going live with an audience trigger
When you turn on the Live switch on a flow that starts from an audience you choose: Only people added from now on, or Everyone on the list too. The second one starts the journey for everyone already on the list, so check the first message before you pick it.
