How to ask Genaya about commissions, net profit and payroll hours

Genaya AI answers PayDesk questions with the same math the PayDesk pages use - the Commissions page, the Timesheets page and your saved commission reports. It never asks you for a rate and never estimates: every payee's real rule is already applied, including a custom commission rate set on a single appointment.

What you can ask

Net after paying the team
Revenue, tax, parts, every payee's commission and net - what the organization keeps - grouped by company, team member, vendor, appointment type or the whole organization. Add a second split, for example each company broken down by appointment type.
Commission rates
Each team member's commission rule or flat percent, your Performance Pay rules, vendor base rates, whether custom commission rates are on, and the custom rates set on one appointment.
Timesheet and payroll hours
Worked hours, payable (approved) hours, shifts waiting for approval, rejected shifts, breaks, who is on the clock right now, and the closed payslips of the period with gross and net pay.
Saved commission reports
Your newest reports, or one report - by name, by "the last one" or by pasting its link - with every payee in two lanes: what you still pay them and what you still collect from them for cash they took on the job. Each lane reads paid, partial or unpaid with the amount remaining.
Net after commission, straight from the Commissions page math.

Ask

  • "Which company made me the most net after paying the team, last 7 days?"
  • "Break that down per company by appointment type."
  • "How much commission do I owe each team member this month?"
  • "What is each team member's commission rate?"
  • "What is the custom commission rate on appointment 1042?"
  • "How many hours did the team work this week, and how many are still waiting for approval?"
  • "Who has not paid me yet from the last commission report?"

Combine anything in one question

You are not limited to one number at a time. Ask for several measures at once, broken down one way, over any period, compared with the period before - for example "revenue, jobs done, net and average ticket by company this month versus last month", or "close rate by lead source this quarter versus last". Genaya works it out in one pass, so a combined question is about as fast as a simple one, and it says plainly when a number cannot be broken down the way you asked or when part of the answer needs a permission you do not have.

How the numbers are counted

  • Done appointments only. A commission exists once an appointment is marked Done, so a commission answer counts done appointments in the period - not every appointment that was created in it. Genaya says which one it counted.
  • Net is revenue minus tax, minus the parts both sides bought, minus every payee's commission - the Org commission column of the Commissions page.
  • Payable hours are shifts that are complete and approved - the only hours a pay period pays. Rejected shifts are left out of worked hours.
  • The period follows your organization's calendar and time zone, and one question can cover up to 400 days.
infoWho can ask: PayDesk is part of the Pro plan and up, and commissions are part of the Business plan and up. Organization totals need the PayDesk view permission; hourly pay rates also need PayDesk manage. A member who can only see their own PayDesk gets their own commissions and hours - never the organization's money or a teammate's rate. A member assigned to specific companies gets those companies only.
lightbulbGenaya AI reads these numbers and never changes them. Marking a payee paid, closing a pay period and editing a rate stay on the PayDesk pages, with their own permissions.
