Custom commission rates let you pay a specific rate on one appointment without touching anyone's standard rule. Each assigned team member, and the vendor when one is attached, gets a row with its own switch, a value, and a unit: % (percent of the commission base) or $ (a fixed amount).

  1. 1
    Open the Items tab

Open the appointment and switch to Items. The Custom commission rates card sits to the left of the totals.

  2. 2
    Turn the card on

Flip the Custom commission rates switch. One row appears per assigned team member, plus a Vendor row when the appointment has a vendor.

  3. 3
    Set each payee

Turn a row on, type the value, and pick % or $. Rows you leave off keep their standard rules.

  4. 4
    Press Update

Update saves the rows. On a Done appointment the toast tells you how many pending commissions were updated and how many paid or locked ones stayed as generated.

UnitHow the amount is figured
%Percent of the commission base: subtotal minus team cost and company cost, with tax included or excluded per that member's payroll setting.
$The exact amount you typed, never split across the team.
warningCustom rates need the Business plan or higher, the Custom Commission Rates card switched on in Settings > Features (it ships off; an owner or admin turns it on), and the PayDesk permission Custom commission rates (admins and managers by default). Commissions already paid or locked in a pay period never change.
