A call flow decides what happens when someone calls your business: what they hear, who rings, and where the call goes when nobody answers. This guide builds a common one: a greeting, then your team rings at the same time, then voicemail.
In the side menu, choose Operations, then Call Flow under Communication.
The button is at the top right. The builder opens with a new flow.
Click the name at the top of the builder, type a name such as Main line, and press Enter.
Under What would you like to happen first?, pick Greeting, then type what callers hear in the message box, for example: Thanks for calling. One moment while we connect you.
In the next picker, choose Simulcall. Under Forward Calls To, pick a team member, then press Add Number to ring another team member or any phone number at the same time. The first person to answer gets the call. If nobody answers within the time on the step (60 seconds unless you change it), the call goes to the next step.
In the next picker, choose Voicemail. Keep the message or type your own.
In Flow settings on the right, under Assigned Numbers, choose the phone numbers this flow answers. Assign all picks every number that is free. A number already on another flow shows which flow it is on.
Click Save. With the Active switch on, calls to the numbers you picked follow the flow right away.
Our team typically replies within one business day.
