What happens after a client applies to pay over time

Whether your client applies alone from a link or you go through it together, the answer reaches everyone at once: the client on the invoice page and by email, you on the invoice, in Collect payment, in your notifications and on your phone.

What each answer means

  • Approved - the invoice is paid in full, less fees. Your client gets a receipt that says who they pay from now on, and the lender sends them their schedule.
  • Not approved - nothing is charged and the invoice stays open. Your client sees the other lenders that fit this amount, or can pay another way. The lender that said no is not offered again on that invoice.
  • Not finished - your client left the lender before finishing. Nothing is charged. They can go back, try another lender, or pay another way.
  • Timed out - the application was not finished in time. Nothing is charged, and your client can start again.
infoOnly the lender knows why an application was not approved, and the lender tells your client directly. One lender saying no does not mean the others will.

Applying together

Choose Financing in Collect payment, press Create, and open the application on your screen. When it is done, the result appears right there: approved and paid, or what your client can try next.

Where you see it

Create adds one pending payment to the invoice, the appointment and GenayaPay Payments, and the link page opens so you can send it, share it, open it or show the QR code. That one row follows the application: Waiting for client, Client is applying, then Not approved, Client did not finish or Timed out. It counts as nothing in your totals and has no receipt, because no money moved. When the plan is paid, the real payment takes its place.

No invoice yet?

You do not need one first. Enter the amount, choose the client and press Create: Genaya creates the invoice for that amount. From an appointment, it uses the invoice for that appointment and creates it if there is none. To use an open invoice instead, turn on Apply to invoice under Show advanced, or under Add details on the phone.
