An automation is a flow, not just one rule. After the trigger you can chain actions, pause with a Wait, and split the path with an If / else that checks the record again when the wait is over. Later steps always use the record's current data, so a client who added an email during the wait is seen with it.
Go to Marketing > Automations, then open an automation or create one. Pick the trigger and add your first action as usual.
Every connector line between steps has a round +, and the dashed circle at the end of the flow adds the next step. Both offer every action plus two flow steps: Wait and If / else. You can also drag Wait or If / else from the left Flow panel onto any Drop here spot, the same way as an action.
Choose a number and minutes, hours or days - from 1 minute up to 30 days. The steps after it run once the wait is over.
Add its own conditions and choose to match All or Any. A Yes path and an Otherwise path appear side by side. Each path has its own steps: actions, waits, or more If / else steps, nested up to 3 levels.
Use the minus and plus buttons at the top of the builder to zoom (click the percentage to go back to 100%), or press Cmd/Ctrl with + and -. When paths sit side by side the canvas scrolls sideways.
Save, watch the Activity tab, then switch Active on in the header.
A Genaya AI step lets the flow think: it reads the record and writes, decides or sums up for you. Add it from the round +, the dashed circle at the end, or the left Flow panel. Pick what it does, tell it what you want (you can use the record's variables), and its answer is saved as a variable such as {{ai.message}} that every later step can use.
{{ai.message}} in the next Send text or Send email.Text Genaya AI writes can go to clients automatically, with guardrails: the record is read as information, never as instructions; links, placeholders and formatting are removed; texts are capped at about 300 characters and emails at about 900; a decision is always one of your answers; it never invents prices, dates or promises. Quiet hours, daily caps, opt-outs and the STOP rule apply as usual, and each run's answer shows in Activity.
The top Only continue if block and every If / else share the same conditions. Check any value the trigger carries (for example Client email or Invoice balance), use does not contain, is empty and is not empty next to the usual equals and greater-than checks, and choose All (every condition must match) or Any (one is enough).

A flow writes one run row in the Activity tab, however many steps it has. A run waiting at a step shows Waiting (or Fired if it already sent something) with "Waiting until" and the time. When the flow finishes, the row shows its final status.
The Send window (quiet hours) also holds a step that comes due outside the window until the window opens. Daily caps, opt-outs, the STOP rule (an opt-out trigger never sends) and team-only triggers apply to every action in every path.
